Ball lock pins meet aerospace
specifications
The KL range of aerospace specification ball lock pins is for installation or workholding situations where especially strong holding forces are required, both axially and in shear.
Quality with enhanced performance is often an extremely useful benefit; and nowhere more than in the case of removable fasteners Elesa has consequently now introduced a new KL range of aerospace specification ball lock pins for installation or workholding situations where especially strong holding forces are required, both axially and in shear

The KL button or T-handle pins are ideal for temporary holding of heavy workpieces or for installation of removable panels to ensure fast, precise positioning with positive location.
Operation is by simple insertion of the ball lock pin into a mating pair of holes, which serves to lock both components together, with removal just as quick.
Typical applications include workpiece location, sports equipment, racking or weight stacks.
As its name suggests, the ball lock pin uses a spring loaded ball mechanism with release plunger, or simple overpressure pull-out operation, to free the connected components.
KLB (button) and KLT (T-handle) ball lock pins are available in 6 to 25mm diameter pin sizes in carbon or stainless steel and lengths up to 89mm.
Both B and T types are designed to meet or exceed NAS specifications (Aerospace Industries Association of America) with MIL standard components.
For applications outside aerospace this means that they can be relied on to provide superior performance where it is desirable to reduce pin size for reasons of space or appearance, while retaining high strength characteristics.
When installed KL series exhibit black anodised handles with blue buttons and may be attached to equipment by suitable lanyard to prevent loss. Request a free brochure from Elesa (UK) ...
