Handles are made for gloved hands

An Elesa (UK) product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Dec 19, 2007

Curved circular-profile handles are designed for use while wearing protective gloves against weather or animal handling problems.

A curved circular-profile handle design is unusual but ideal for use on trailers, horseboxes and other animal transport where the operator is likely to be wearing gloves and require greater clearance than other designs.

Now Elesa has introduced not just one but two variants to enable rivet or screw fixing, as well as blind fixing from the rear.

The M478 and M479 handles feature "high standoffs" with preferential rivet fixing possible onto light gauge material.

This enables manipulation of panels etc as well as use while wearing protective gloves against weather or animal handling problems.

Standard colour of the M478/9 is black technopolymer, but orange, grey, yellow, blue and red are also available.

Rear fixing is by M8 screws into a fixed insert.
