Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Nov 21, 2008

Elesa has recently introduced a semi-gloss chrome version of its VC range of five lobe grip knobs for clamping, locating or fixing.

This comes from the company's capability in plating glass reinforced polyamide technopolymer and is especially for use in harsh environments such as marine or food processing.

A cost-effective alternative to stainless steel for many applications, the VC.692-CR features an optimal grip for operator fingers while preventing residue build up thanks to its solid form without external cavities.

Now with a chrome-plated finish, the surface is metallically smooth to facilitate cleaning operations.

The VC.692-CR chrome surface is resistant to wear, scrapes and shocks - it is particularly suitable for outdoor environments subject to unfavourable weather conditions, for example, many marine applications and in general for use on machines and equipment whose parts need frequent cleaning cycles for hygiene reasons with water sprays or steam.

Sizes are from 32mm to 60mm and mounting is by M6, M8 or M10 blind insert.
