Authorisation from SELO (the Special Equipment Licensing Office), from the People's Republic of China, is the most recent addition, and joins approvals already in place from ASME in the USA, PED in Europe and GOST in the Russian Federation.

Export rules for China changed in 2003, requiring exporters of pressure vessels and safety accessories to China to obtain a manufacturing licence.

Such a document is only awarded after a satisfactory audit of a company's product design, manufacturing process and quality control systems.
