The Type 07 coded switches from Elma Electronic UK offer a rugged construction suitable for reflow soldering, and feature separate detent and contact chambers for minimum contact contamination and maximum life The sealed and washable switches are available in a wide range of panel and board mount orientations, including an optional fully waterproof panel mount bushing rated to IP68

In addition to a range of standard screwdriver and shaft operation options, Elma can offer a complete customisation service to develop models to meet specific needs.

The switches are available as standard with either 10 or 16 positions, and in vertical and horizontal versions for either PCB or panel mounting.

Standard output formats are BCD, HEX or their complements, as well as Gray code.

Adjustable stops can be fitted during manufacture to limit both maximum and minimum settings, and special shaft lengths and profiles can also be supplied.

To meet the widest range of applications, the maximum operating voltage is 42V, while the gold-plated alloy contacts are rated to a maximum switching current of 200mA, and a contact resistance of less than 50 mOhm.

The Type 07 is designed for operation from -25øC to +85øC, and will withstand 10g vibration from 10-2000 Hz.
