Motion control component connector for photoelectric switches and proximity sensors has it use expanded to include encoders.

Eltra has expanded the use of the M12 connector to include its EL58 and EL63 encoders Specialty machine builders and motion control experts know that components which easily connect together save money with reduced installation times and faster field replacements

The M12 connector is the connector of choice for many motion control components, such as photoelectric switches and proximity sensors, but had not previously been available as an encoder option.

Better sealing, small diameter and support by various manufacturers and suppliers make this connector suitable for most demanding applications.

In addition, using this connector may allow a user to reduce stocking requirements for cord sets and similar components, since they may be used not only for encoder connections, but also for other components of motion control systems.
