SSI encoder offers remote zeroing
Eltra's electronic zeroing is easier to manage remotely than mechanical systems, with no need for the operator to be next to the machinery.
Eltra has released an absolute single-turn SSI encoder with an electronic zero (index) function The user can set the zero position during installation or re-calibration by controlling the voltage level of the dedicated signal
The encoder will start to count from the position defined at the zero set time.
Eltra's electronic zeroing is easier to manage remotely than mechanical systems, with no need for the operator to be next to the machinery.
No tools or hand contact are required to set the zero position on the encoder.
A magnetic version of Eltra's SSI single-turn encoder with electronic zeroing will soon be released.
This series will offer a higher temperature range and higher protection class for harsh environments.
