Eltra is offering a sturdy 13-bit absolute version of a large through hollow shaft encoder (up to 50 mm or 2in) for precise position-control applications.
It is built around the EL120P incremental design and incorporates many of the same features, including: a variety of shaft bores, several output options (cable or various connectors are available) and SSI or ICO communication protocols.
The encoder carries an IP54 housing rating and operates from 0 to 60C.
Hollow shaft encoders are suited for installations that have limited axial-space on the shaft, such as textile machinery and traction machines.
The EA120P absolute encoder measures about 70mm.
