Elcis has developed a range of explosion-proof incremental and absolute encoders.

The 80EXS, 0B80EXS and 0Q80EXS are certified to ATEX CE Ex II 2 G D enabling their use in zones 1 and 2 (G) or zones 21 and 22 (D).

These models are now suitable for use in working environments with potentially explosive atmospheres with the presence of gas (G) and/or with the presence of dust (D) according to EN50014, EN50018 and EN50281-1-1 Standards with EEx d II C T5 IP 6X T85C and EEx d II C T6 IP 6X T100C housings.

These transducers are extremely sturdy, they are made from turned rod metal with precision bearings and stainless steel shaft and they are available with 80 or 115mm diameters.

Like all Elcis products, the new explosion-proof encoders feature high quality manufacturing, produced in accordance with the EN ISO9001:2000.
