Translation software features at SolidWorks World
Elysium will highlight its CADfeature translation software will be highlighted on Booth 116 at SolidWorks World 2005 in Orlando, Florida, between 28th January and 2nd February 2005.
Translator engineers an intelligent change
Elysium's market-leading CADfeature technology has been adopted worldwide by Joy Mining Machinery, a manufacturer of underground mining systems.
In addition to creating 3D geometric models, each CAD system has a feature tree that, until now, could not be translated between dissimilar systems.
Elysium's new feature-based translation technology enables engineers to translate both geometric model data, and the valuable individual feature information as well as design intent.
The feature translation product was recently developed by Elysium in response to direct requests from Elysium's PLM software partners providing solutions to major aerospace clients.
One major client was entering a multiple-CAD platform environment where design intellect had to be transferred between systems.
Elysium performed necessary research and development to ensure that the client's needs and processes were a key part of the technology development plan.
The resulting feature-translation technology in place at the client site has provided fast, high-quality feature-based translation for the client in a way that mirrors processes they already use and minimizes manual intervention.
The resulting product is known as CADfeature by Elysium.
The Desktop Engineering Magazine Reader's Choice award is given to the product that receives the most reader interest in a recent issue and is based on web inquiries.
Winners are the CAD-related products and services that have done the most to raise the bar of excellence and technological innovation over the past six months.
