Elysium has set up a per-file translation service using its leading and highly effective 3D CAD data translation technologies.

Elysium has set up a per-file translation service using its leading and highly effective 3D CAD data translation technologies.

The quick-turnaround translation system accepts parts and assemblies, and delivers the industry's highest data translation success rates including feature-based translation.

Elysium has created this service as a result of customer feedback and changes in the relationships between the OEM and tiers of suppliers.

"More and more companies are only dealing with native CAD data, which pushes the translation responsibility to the suppliers.

They don't want to deal with the costs and headaches of multiple CAD systems", said Ken Tashiro, CEO of Elysium.

"Elysium saw a need for a quick turn-around translation service to solve interoperability between various systems.

Elysium has provided robust translation technology to companies for 15 years and now provides that technology online to individual users".

Companies are also finding the translation service an excellent way to try translation products before purchasing or simply a way to allow the outsourcing of data exchange to reduce overhead.

Elysium's translation service incorporates the company's software technology to provide a fast, economical, secure and convenient mechanism for importing and exporting quality geometry and features from one file format to another.

The service uses Elysium's robust CADporter and CADdoctor translation tools to produce quality results.

Elysium's products translate precise Boundary representation parts and assemblies.

Feature-based translations are available for specific translation directions for an additional fee.

Elysium's translation service is offered on a fee-per-file basis.

A part or assembly file is submitted to the system and a quote is sent to the user via email.

When a user authorises a transaction, the file is translated and a notification is sent with instructions about downloading the translated file.

Standard delivery of translated files is 24 hours.

The translation service also provides a file healing service.

A file can be translated from a neutral file format such as Iges to another CAD or neutral format.

CADdoctor provides advanced healing of the problem models into a solid volume.

Supported formats include Autodesk Inventor, Catia V4 and V5, SolidWorks, I-Deas, Unigraphics, Iges, Pro/Engineer and ParaSolid.

Standard pricing is based on file size.

Files less than 25Mbyte are $100.00, files between 26 and 50Mbyte are $250.00.

Files larger then 50Mbyte are quote only.
