Elysium has become a Vendor Member in the JT Open Program and will now support the 3D JT data format.

Elysium, a leading global provider of multi-CAD enabling software, has become a Vendor Member in the JT Open Program, and is announcing support for the 3D JT data format.

The JT Open Program is a global community of leading manufacturers, PLM vendors, and academic institutions focused on supporting and promoting JT, a versatile 3D data format widely used throughout the global manufacturing industry to facilitate visualisation and collaboration in the product and tool development processes.

"JT has been widely accepted within the industry as a flexible, reliable, and viewable format for 3D data", said Ken Tashiro, COO and Vice President Elysium "By adding JT support to our technology, we are able to automate the JT creation process across all major CAD systems".

"That automation will provide increased value to our customers wishing to use JT in collaborative exchanges".

Elysium bridges gaps among CAD systems.

Elysium's Suppliers Hub is an automated system based on a web server that translates CAD and CAE data without the need for skilled operators.

Before and after translation, the Suppliers Hub checks for errors to assure that translated data will not cause the CAD, CAM, or CAE systems that use them to malfunction.

Elysium also provides pay-per-model translation services and sells data-exchange software that run on individual workstations: CADporter for data translation, CADpdq for data checking, and CADdoctor for repair.

Elysium's translation technology provides the highest level of fidelity available because it employs the application-programming interfaces of each CAD system.

Customers may choose to translate CAD model geometry, features and parameters, assembly constraints, and/or management information.

Elysium currently partners with most leading CAD/CAM and CAE software companies including UGS, Autodesk, CoCreate, Dassault Systemes, IBM Global Services, Moldflow, MSC.Software and PTC.
