Emerson Power Transmission has published a new catalogue on protection and lubrication principles for improved bearing performance.

Emerson Power Transmission has published a new catalogue on protection and lubrication principles for improved bearing performance.

The new catalogue provides engineering data on seal types and lubricant options.

Most standard seal types are illustrated with notes related to specific application characteristics.

The catalogue details performance issues, such as lubrication containment and the use of application-specific grease.

High temperature, food grade and high performance lubricants are analysed.

Design elements of SealMaster and competitive bearings are also reviewed.

The new GoldPlexT-SPL (V) family of lubricators are featured.

The high performance lubricators feature: high- strength polymer construction with a clear base for easy inspection; easy-to-use control pod for variable lubricant dispensing; twice the grease fill of competing units; and a purge function for back-pressure applications.

Features of the new patent pending GoldPlex-HP high performance mounted bearing grease are also outlined.

Test results show that GoldPlex-HP outperforms standard greases in oxidation prevention and load carrying capabilities.
