Exhaust emissions control company Eminox has been named the UK's best exporter to France by the French Chamber of Commerce in Great Britain.

Eminox Director Mike Galey, General Manager Paul Priestley and Chairman David Milles received the award on 17th October 2005 during a gala ceremony at the Churchill Hotel, London.
The awards are judged by a jury of eminent Franco-British business leaders and are based on the volume and growth of business conducted in France, marketing strategy, innovation, and adaptation of products to local market conditions.
The company beat off tough competition from a very wide range of businesses in many different sectors of industry and commerce.
"This is a major validation of our French business strategy", said Galey.
"We are opening a French office, and have succeeded in selling millions of pounds worth of product to bus operators in the City of Paris and elsewhere".
"We are delighted to be honoured in this way by a leading French business organisation".
According to the European Commission, 100,000 premature deaths take place in Europe every year due to poor air quality, much of it caused by vehicle emissions.
The technology manufactured at the company's Gainsborough plant and sold across the world takes more than 90% of the harmful pollutants from exhaust gases, including particulate matter (black smoke), hydrocarbons and carbon monoxide.
The equipment is sold widely throughout France for fitting to buses and refuse vehicles.
