The Emka remote electrical release system may be integrated into the 2100 programme and many other swinghandle styles.

It is ideal for large factory sites or Internet "hotel" installations, where the ultimate in security is required with simplicity of operation.

The system may even be interfaced, for recording purposes, with a computer management system such as a building management system (BMS).

Emka swinghandles are used and this allows access to the full range of rod and tab possibilities with the associated benefits of standard components in a large variety of possible combinations to suit each cabinet.

Operation of the electrical release is simplicity itself - an engineer requiring access contacts the control centre, eg by phone or radio and requests "cabinet ref 1234 to be opened please", the control operator pushes the button and the system releases the handle to enable operation by the engineer.

When he is finished, the engineer simply closes the cabinet and resets the handle - this is then monitored in the control centre by indicator light and/or logging system.

This not only does away with keys completely; it also ensures that only authorised persons are permitted access to specific cabinets or components.
