Locking system reduces flange
requirements
A cabinet locking system with reduced flange requirements has many advantages for specialist panel builders, and the Emka 2000 programme has been designed to maximise these benefits.
A cabinet locking system with reduced flange requirements has many advantages for specialist panel builders, and the Emka 2000 programme has been designed to maximise these benefits Design, of course, is an evolving part of engineering, linking customer needs to practical possibility - especially with a modular system concept such as the 2000 locking programme which now offers four complete generic systems, each with its own merits for electrical/electronic cabinets, for ventilation panels, for factory equipment or for office equipment

Hinge boosts workplace safety
Installation of the 1110-SU123 hinge is a simple matter using blind M6 screws on the door and countersunk M6 screws for the main body of the hinge.
To exemplify this we can see that the 2400 series reduces space taken by the operating mechanism, which passes through a 7mm slot in the door (rather than a typical 25mm hole) with the locking rods outside the door gasket area.
This reduces the cabinet flange requirement from 37.5 to 27mm - a gain of 10mm width over the full height of the door.
The slimmer flange permits either a larger backplate or smaller cabinet as preferred.
The 2400 handle has the ability to accept a custom moulded outer escutcheon to suit particular installation design criteria, eg for OEMs or to develop corporate customer identity.
In addition the 2400 series accepts all standard Emka locking options, such as lock inserts, key cylinders and half cylinders, pushbuttons and even other manufacturers' lock cylinders to match company security programmes.
The 2600 series on the other hand has its operating mechanism internal to the sealed area, with an IP65 sealed handle suited to areas where problems of dust or water ingress are an issue.
The 2600 handle also has a reduced height escutcheon and the whole system is specifically designed to be reversible for left- or right-hand doors using the same handle - making life easier for panel builders and installers. Request a free brochure from EMKA UK ...
