Gaskets help seal enclosures

An EMKA UK product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Mar 23, 2007

Emka gaskets come in a variety of profiles and materials, helping to get the sealing of an enclosure right.

In many environments the most important part of an enclosure is the gasket and yet specialist builders often find it very difficult to get gasket sealing right.

The Emka produces range of purpose-designed profiles.

Emka gaskets come in a variety of profiles and materials.

They include hollow ones to fit a door channel, moulded ones to go over a flange edge, as well as P-shaped versions and round ones with a tail to insert in a groove.

The company also produces self-adhesive versions and spring centred versions for flanges and window glazing strips, either Z section or with a locking strip.

These sections in EPDM, perbunan and buna greatly simplify the achievement of sealing to normal IP levels of protection.

To ensure optimum ease of application most sections are available in a range of sizes to suit everything from a small junction box up to large cabinet suites, and many are UL-registered.
