Latches extend cabinet lifespan

An EMKA UK product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Aug 30, 2007

Emka compression latches suit applications where equipment vibration may affect the integrity of normal quarter-turn system.

Emka (UK) has released a range of compression latches designed to enhance gasket compression with a soft landing clamp action, improving the longevity of the seal and equipment.

These are especially useful in situations where equipment vibration may affect the integrity of normal quarter-turn systems, for example on vehicles, gensets or mobile mounted controls.

Compression latches are typically used in air conditioning or acoustic cabinets.

The straight pull down action gives a better steal with a more gentle operation than the ramp design of normal quarter-turn cams, reducing damage to panels and gaskets.

Emka compression latches come in quarter-turn and swing handle configurations as well as an adjustable shaft version for fine control of tab setting.
