Swing handles suit varied cabinets

An EMKA UK product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Nov 1, 2007

The 1180 has a black powder coated zinc die swing handle and will accept continuous rods if required, as well as connector systems.

Emka's 1180 swing handle suits specialist cabinets, while the 1160 has simplified components and suits economy models.

These specialist swing handles are purpose-designed for electrical/electronic cabinets and feature the latest linear tracking rod activation system.

Both systems feature IP65 protection and accept a full range of locks, including profile keys.

The 1180 has a black powder-coated zinc die swing handle and will accept continuous rods if required, as well as connector systems.

The key mechanism is cleverly covered by an integral roll back panel for additional protection.

Type 1180 and 1160 have centrally-symmetrical mounting designs which speed up installation.

The 1160 is especially compact and like the 1180 may be used either within the gasket area or externally, for maximum useable door area and superior sealing performance.

An external lock mounting arrangement may also be preferred for marginally EMC-sensitive applications.

The Emka linear tracking mechanism is featured in 1160, 1180 and 2400 swing handle systems.
