Gaskets seal and screen in one

An EMKA UK product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Nov 30, 2007

PVC and EPDM sections cover over 30 new types of self-grip edge fit designs with varying degrees and styles of compression.

Emka has recently greatly expanded its range of gasketting products with many new types for door sealing, edge protection and EMC screening.

These PVC and EPDM sections cover over 30 new types of self-grip edge fit designs with varying degrees and styles of compression.

The variety allows for simple edge protection where an operator's hands or a cabinet paint surface need to be cushioned.

Other types provide a wiping action and yet others offer good sealing characteristics for cabinets going in difficult environmental conditions.

The Emka self-gripping system features a spring steel core with shark-tooth design.

This provides a firm, positive grip with a sealing mechanism, which is under constant pressure.

This firm base then provides a solid foundation for the gasket extension, which may be hollow, or in a blade configuration.

These new profiles complement an already extensive portfolio of sections and mounting methods - other types include channel-mounted gaskets and self-adhesive foam sections.
