Hinge boosts workplace safety

An EMKA UK product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Aug 1, 2008

Installation of the 1110-SU123 hinge is a simple matter using blind M6 screws on the door and countersunk M6 screws for the main body of the hinge.

Many specialist racks, cabinets and cases do not require sealing against water ingress but do need to be adequately sealed for the protection of personnel.

The 1110-SU123 hinge from Emka makes this possible with the added benefit of 180 degree door operation.

The design permits IP3X to be achieved, protecting against fingers and large probes.

This is achieved by careful detail design and close tolerances in a simple cast construction.

Door to frame gaps from 4 to 1mm are possible.

The 1110-SU123 can be fitted to cabinet margins down to 25mm and may be used either right or left-handed.

Installation is a simple matter using blind M6 screws on the door and countersunk M6 screws for the main body of the hinge.

The 1110-SU123 has a black powder finish.
