Paul Baan has joined the Emerson Process Management global PlantWeb Project Pursuit organisation as a Project Pursuit Director.

Operating out of the Emerson offices in Rijswijk, the Netherlands, Baan will work closely with local account teams globally distributed to lead multidisciplinary project pursuits.

An integral part of the pursuit team is the project management group led in Europe by Gertjan van der Ven, ensuring that projects are executed to a consistently high standard across international boundaries.

"Paul has extensive experience across many aspects of our business including sales and marketing, project management/engineering, and operations", commented Richard Willems, Director Project Pursuit and PlantWeb Europe.

"This has been gained with both international solution suppliers and system integrators".

"Paul is in a unique position to lead our sales teams and ensure our customer's needs are met across all of Emerson's world class leading services and technology brands".

"Projects are becoming increasingly complex requiring detailed knowledge across a range of technologies and applications", said Baan.

"By providing our customers with the highest levels of engineering and project support, in combination with Emerson's proven PlantWeb digital plant architecture, we can ensure that risk is minimised and project execution is completed efficiently and effectively, providing a frame work for ongoing innovation".

PlantWeb uses the power of predictive intelligence to provide customers with a unique solution enabling a reduction in initial project costs and improvements in plant operation and performance during the lifecycle of a plant.
