The Fisher DVC2000 is an intelligent valve controller with built-in real-time diagnostics and valve performance monitoring.
Operational results are maximised when the controller is used with Fisher valves as a key component that powers Emerson's PlantWeb digital architecture to improve control accuracy and process availability, while reducing operations and maintenance costs.
The DVC2000 also complies with the requirements of EN5 0014 (1997) and amendments 1 and 2, EN 50020 (2002) and EN 50284 (1999).
Certified to ATEX/Cenelec, FM, CSA and IEC Ex standards, the DVC2000 is suitable for use in intrinsically safe and nonincendive environments.
It complies with European EMC directives and the electrical housing meets IEC 60529 IP66 criteria.
Delivering the same high performance as other valve controllers in Emerson's Fieldvue instrument family, the DVC2000 series feature a compact, intrinsically safe design with a convenient local user interface consisting of a multilanguage display and pushbuttons.
The LCD can display in English, German, Italian, Spanish, French, Chinese or Japanese and a quick setup routine automatically calibrates and tunes the DVC2000 to the valve.
The Fisher DVC2000 digital valve controller is compact, mounts to any single acting valve actuator, and has full NAMUR mounting capability.
Quick to install and easy to use, the linkage-less, noncontact position sensor simplifies mounting and an optional, integrated package includes a position transmitter and two limit switches, further simplifying mounting and configuration.
Communicating via Hart digital communications protocol, the DVC2000 presents critical information on control valve condition to plant personnel via AMS Suite: Intelligent Device Manager, AMS ValveLink software or directly to the control system.
Control valve condition information can be used to identify potential failures allowing action to be taken to prevent unplanned shutdowns.
The accurate control of the DVC2000 enables the operator to move the set point for greater throughput, higher quality and improved yield.
This superior performance is enabled by a two stage, pre-amplifier design that multiplies small changes in the pneumatic signal; this is combined with a digital tuning algorithm used to configure the instrument to suit the actuator.
