Gas automation alliance agreed
Emerson will engineer, project manage, install, commission, and provide long-term support on the automation solutions for oil, gas and petrochemical facilities in Qatar.
Qatargas Operating Company and Emerson Process Management have announced a long-term alliance, naming Emerson as the preferred supplier of digital automation solutions and Qatargas a preferred customer for the company's oil, gas and liquefied natural gas (LNG) facilities The Qatargas-Emerson alliance will continue to improve and sustain operational excellence for Qatargas, building on the strength of the two companies' previous collaboration to automate six multi-billion dollar world-class facilities in Ras Laffan over the past four years

Emerson's PlantWeb digital architecture networks the company's DeltaV digital automation systems with intelligent field devices throughout facilities.
Fisher valves and Fieldvue digital valve controllers, Rosemount pressure, temperature, flow and radar gauges, and Micro Motion Coriolis flowmeters are included under the agreement.
The digital field devices continuously run real-time diagnostics that are used by AMS Suite predictive maintenance software to alert operations and maintenance personnel and enable correction of issues before they affect plant operations.
