Empire Magnetics is introducing its Dustproof Motors, which include seals that eliminate dust leaks at penetration points and provide features for pressurization

Empire Magnetics, introduces Dustproof Motors engineered to survive where other motors fail.

Motors used in the production or processing of powdered materials are prone to failure when particulates migrate into unprotected bearings and motor cavities - Empire's Dustproof Motors overcome these challenges.

Typical applications include wood, wood products, flour production, plastics machining, and graphite fiber production.

For more unique and demanding applications, Dustproof Motors can be combined with radiation hardened, waterproof and extended temperature environmental options.

Dustproof Motors are pressure rated to 15 psi to lock out contamination.

They include seals that eliminate dust leaks at penetration points and provide features for pressurization.

An extended temperature option provides insulation that allows operation at temperatures up to 145fC.

Dustproof Motors are available in industry standard 23, 34, 42 and 65 frame sizes.

Empire Magnetics is a leading supplier of specialty motor products, motion control systems and support services to a variety of North American manufacturers.
