The new Magnetic Lane Controller (MLC) from Electro Mechanical Systems Ltd is specifically designed for use with the recently introduced Magnetic Intelligent Barrier (MIB) range.

The unit combines power input, motor supply, 24V DC control voltage, dual channel loop detector, programming keys with a rotary selector, 5 inputs, 2 output relays plus a 16 character LCD display for programming and displaying barrier status (operating modes, current inputs/outputs and torque/loop conditions).

The unit will operate across a power supply range 100V - 240V +/-10% and on a 50Hz - 60Hz supplies.

A boom position sensor replaces the need for limit switches to control the open and closed positions of the barrier, while the continuous self-adjusting method of operation will automatically adapt the barriers' braking function to suit surrounding influential conditions and the effects of mechanical wear throughout its lifetime to ensure smooth operation at all times.

The unit also features * Modular Design * Only two hardware versions (MLC10 and MLC11) since programmes and parameters can be downloaded * Most functions of both former control units (MUB and MCU) can be selected by software parameter sets * Display of most parameters including loop frequencies, barrier operations etc.
