Gefeg has sold its Hannover-based operation, Gefeg Antriebstechnik Hannover, to Kahlig Elektrotechnik, which has renamed the business Kahlig Antriebstechnik.

Following a period of uncertainty due to bereavement and financial problems, Gefeg has sold its Hannover-based operation, Gefeg Antriebstechnik Hannover, to Kahlig Elektrotechnik, which has renamed the business Kahlig Antriebstechnik.

The newly reformed company will continue to manufacture the former company's range of quality industrial DC motors and custom designed solutions, and with new impetus go on to develop a range of brushless DC motors.

EMS will continue to represent the product line in the UK, but will now promote the products under the name Kahlig Antriebstechnik, or KAG.

KAG will be able to benefit from the new factory that was taken on some three years ago, and into which was installed new flow production lines that has increased its ability to compete in volume OEM applications such as pumps, automatic door systems, medical devices and ABS systems.
