Electro Mechanical Systems has secured the exclusive distributorship of industrial products for Valeo Motoren und Aktuatoren into the UK and Ireland.
Electro Mechanical Systems has secured the exclusive distributorship of industrial products for Valeo Motoren und Aktuatoren into the UK and Ireland.
EMS has been a customer of Valeo products for 3 years, using the company's motors and motor gearheads in custom designed equipment manufactured at EMS's Poole based design and manufacturing facility.
Following the acquisition of Stegmann by Erwin Sick, and subsequent changes to Stegmann UK, which had been the exclusive distributor for over 15 years, Valeo needed to find a new distributor.
With a long experience in small drive systems, the ability to add value to the products through their Poole facility, and a reputation for good service and professional technical support, EMS was chosen.
To ensure the continuity of technical expertise and customer contact EMS is also employing Paul Boughey, formerly of Stegmann UK, who brings with him a wealth of knowledge and experience with the products and existing customers and projects.
This represents a substantial addition to the EMS product range, and offers significant opportunities to open up new markets and applications.
The combination of Valeo's products and service with those of EMS, and EMS' value-added possibilities, will broaden the range of solutions EMS can offer its customers, and complete an unparalleled portfolio in the small drives market place.
The Valeo range includes a wide range of DC motors, DC motors with spur gearheads and DC motors with worm gearheads.
Available primarily for 12 and 24V DC applications, the products are ideally suited for use in: healthcare products such as patient hoists, bath lifters, and pillow raisers; door openers for pedestrian and vehicular access, including domestic garage door openers; food processing, labelling and conveying systems; and a myriad of other applications where low voltage competitively priced motors and geared motors are needed.
