Electro Mechanical Systems has been appointed exclusive UK agent for Micro Precision Systems of Biel Switzerland.
Electro Mechanical Systems has been appointed exclusive UK agent for Micro Precision Systems (MPS) of Biel Switzerland, an internationally acclaimed manufacturer of miniature high-precision bearings and micro mechanisms.
EMS will now represent all of the products manufactured by MPS and its parent company the Faulhaber Group.
MPS provides solutions for customers who need mechanical microsystems that control linear or rotating movement.
Typical fields of application include medical devices, semiconductor manufacture, optical measurement and the watch industry.
With ball diameters extending from just 1.588 down to 0.2mm, these ultraprecision products are suitable for the world's smallest and most accurate mechanical and electromechanical devices.
MPS manufactures very few standard products, and sells primarily into specialist microminiature applications where precise and exacting special designs are needed.
They fully complement EMS' own custom design and manufacturing capabilities, now extending these to include even smaller sizes.
EMS is therefore now able to offer custom design mechanisms for motors from 2mm in diameter up to 80mm, with power ratings from 60uW to 240W, and torque ratings form 12uNm to 250Nm.
