Robert Worrall, Managing Director of Encoder Technology Ltd.

("Encoder Technology") has arranged the purchase of the shares.

Behind the decision to sell the company is the current directors wish to retire.

Commenting on the sale Ron Epps, Eplon s Managing Director said "Tony and I have built this company up over many years to a very successful business and are very proud of our achievements.

We are pleased to be handing over the reins to a company with a similar obsession for quality and engineering excellence - we know it will be safe in their hands".

Eplon is set to have a bright future with planned investment to expand the manufacturing and assembly capability.

Explained Robert Worrall "We were attracted to Eplon for a number of key strategic reasons.

The word synergy is often overworked but in this case it is absolutely appropriate.

Both companies enjoy an excellent reputation for quality and we operate in similar markets with a high class customer base that we are keen to nurture".

"Later in the year we intend to transfer the manufacture of our range of encoders presently made in Germany to Eplon where they have the skills and resources to provide a very competitive reliable product". Request free introductory details about products from Encoder Technology ...
