Easy programming from high power stepper
drive

Reliable and rugged, the 3540 Series drive/indexer system is suitable for use with stepper motors from size NEMA 14 through to 34 and is capable of microstepping resolutions of up to 50,800 steps/rev

The 3540 Series drive/indexer system from AMP is being launched in October 2001 by Encoder Technology These units are designed around a precise, high power drive suitable for use with stepper motors from size NEMA 14 through to 34

Reliable and rugged, the 3540 series is capable of microstepping resolutions of up to 50,800 steps/rev at speeds of 3000rpm.

The outstanding feature of the Si3540 unit is Applied Motion's "Simple Indexer Technology" This has a Windows graphical user interface for stand alone applications.

No programming to learn, no code to write.

All you do is Point-Click-Move.

The Si interface does the programming, you only need to input the 'move' parameters.

The unit is programmable via a RS 232 port from your computer.

There are a total of 20 different instructions including I/O, branches, loops and motion commands.

These can be combined to allow the most complex of applications to be realised.

You can write programmes without the drive being connected and also emulate the optional man machine interface.

Once programmed the positioning drive can run as a stand alone unit.

For multi axis applications up to 8 SITM drives can be connected to one PC serial port using our SiNet Hub-8.

This opens up a lot of possibilities for the designer to create cost effective automated machinery.

Potential customers can 'try before they buy' as Encoder Technology are offering 'free' copies of the programming software. Request a free brochure from Encoder Technology ...
