Training courses advance sound and vibration
The ISVR Advanced Course consists of a three-day core element, which is preceded by an optional two-day refresher in the principles of vibration and acoustics.
The course features lectures and practical workshops designed to enable all the participants to put into practice the principles and techniques they will learn during the event.
The course takes place on 19th to 21st November 2003 at Bruel + Kjaer's training centre in Stevenage.
Topics addressed during the course include: vibration and structural dynamics; shock motion; how shock and vibration are measured; accelerometer design and performance; signal conditioning, systems and readouts; accelerometer calibration; and testing with shock and vibration.
One of Bruel + Kjaer's most popular education courses, the shock and vibration event is presented jointly by transducer expert Jeremy Bryceson and Jon Wilson who has more than 40 years' experience in testing, measurement and education of dynamics applications.
Course delegates will receive a free copy of Endevco's "shock and vibration measurement technology" textbook.
Revised and updated for the 2003 three-day seminar the textbook includes the latest state-of-the-art developments in shock and vibration measurement.
Containing more than 225 pages and 300 illustrations, the application-orientated text is structured to give engineers and senior technicians a review of the basics, as well as an opportunity to broaden their working knowledge.
