The type 2250 is the innovative 4th-generation handheld instrument from Bruel and Kjaer for noise measurement.

The development of the new instrument a number of in-depth workshops held worldwide with customers, consultants and influential participants in noise and vibration.

Instigated entirely by their customers and Bruel and Kjaer's own desire to develop a noise analyser which could meet their customers needs completely, Type 2250 was born out of a "wish list" expressed from participants at the workshops held globally.

Working tirelessly since these workshops, Bruel and Kjaer is confident it has produced the most innovative noise analyser to hit the market in years.

The hardware has been designed to meet the specific ergonomic requirements of users, and the application software covers everything from environmental noise and occupational health, to quality control.

The software packages can be licensed separately, so customers can specify what they need, when they need it, without getting left behind if requirements change.

The platform ensures the safety of a company's investment now and in the future.

Built for use outdoors and in difficult environmental conditions, the Type 2250's robustness, lightness and ergonomic design, make it easy to grip, hold and operate.

Designed for single-handed operation, with a choice between using hard keys or touch screen, it provides users with everything from a personal login and measurement, data and display setups to a personal checklist.

The high-resolution, touch screen has different colour schemes, optimised for viewing indoors and outdoors, both day and night.

A separate built-in microphone allows the operator to record personal comments while measuring and automatically attaching them to the ongoing measurement.

Colour coded with red, yellow and green lights to give a fast indication of measurement status, even at a distance, it is highly visible.

Built-in electronic filters detect and correct for windscreen effects.

The quality and status of measurement parameters are clearly displayed on screen as icons.

All measurement tasks are intuitively organised.

Back at the office, data can be quickly transferred to a PC for storing, viewing and reporting.

In addition, the Type 2250 also holds a calibration history, allowing users to document any measurement's validity.

Easy, safe, clever and fun to use, the Type 2250 undoubtedly marks the onset of the new generation of noise measuring instruments.
