Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Jan 13, 2009

Bruel and Kjaer has announced its 2009 training course dates, along with a 10 per cent discount for its M1 and multi-contract (three to five year) holding customers, who register for any course.

Specifically designed for customers and anyone seeking a basic understanding of noise effects on everyday life, Bruel and Kjaer UK's annual series of training sessions aim to help customers get the most from their equipment.

The first batch of courses takes place in March and April, starting with Principles of Acoustics, which is recommended for all users of sound level analyser and spectrum analysis equipment, such as 1/3 Octave analysers, wishing to acquire basic understanding of acoustic and measurement principles.

During March, Bruel and Kjaer's Pulse customers can attend the Pulse and Visual Basic Programming course, designed specifically for developers, application specialists and sales people using Pulse Labshop to carry out measurements.

It teaches the basics of Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) programming and how to apply them to automate simple measurement tasks in Pulse Labshop.

Bruel and Kjaer UK is also increasing the number of its online courses, called Webex, offering personalised company training for customers needing onsite help.
