New range of industrial accelerometers

An Endevco product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Sep 24, 2001

This range of industrial Isotron accelerometer types use an Endevco high performance shear design piezoelectric sensor, with integral low-noise hybrid electronics

All versions are hermetically sealed to ensure long term operation with excellent stability.

The signal ground is isolated from mounting surface and outer case to prevent ground loops.

An active two-pole low-pass filter is used for resonance suppression.

Faraday shielding is included to limit sensitivity to ESD to a minimum.

Top and side connection versions are available.

A optional choice of connectors includes two-pin spring terminals for easy attachment (-M4); a three pin quick disconnect for mating with PT06-8-3S connector (-M5).

For applications not requiring signal ground isolation a BNC connector version is available (-M6).

The 5218A and 5219A are certified intrinsically safe.

The 5220 and 5221 are general purpose units with a frequency response 1Hz to 5000 Hz (+/110%).

The 5230 and 5231 have a rugged integrated double-shielded cable.

The latter four types are also available in high frequency versions (-HF) with a frequency response 1Hz to 10,000Hz (+/-10%).
