A new accelerometer thermal isolator (ATI) significantly extends the operating temperature range of Endevco's family of piezoelectric Isotron accelerometers.

A new accelerometer thermal isolator (ATI) significantly extends the operating temperature range of Endevco's family of piezoelectric Isotron accelerometers The ATI enables these low-impedance output accelerometers to operate on test surfaces with temperatures that exceed their present operating range (-55 to +125C)

Designed to address the increasing use of these accelerometers, the ATI is the most cost-effective, long-term solution for high temperature sensor exposure in low level vibration applications.

The ATI is constructed from a 0.325in-thick lightweight amorphous polymer that provides long-term protection while maintaining optimal sensor performance.

This material is characterized by low thermal conductivity, rigidity at higher temperatures, excellent chemical resistance, high dielectric strength, natural flame resistance, ease of bonding and substantial forming flexibility.

Maximum service temperature of the ATI is +171C.

An accelerometer can be mounted to the thermal isolator via a cap screw.

The isolator should be mounted to the test surface with a suitable adhesive, such as urethane, silicone or acrylic.
