Endevco has joined forces with Advancement Via Individual Determination to help local students learn about college career opportunities and how to achieve success.

Endevco recently joined forces with Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID) to help 7th and 8th graders at San Juan Capistrano's Marco Forster Middle School learn about college career opportunities and how to achieve success with both AVID, a programme that started in the San Diego area some 20 years ago, targets students in the "academic middle" who have the desire to go to college and the willingness to work hard, but may lack the financial resources or exposure to role models to help them pursue their dream

In May Endevco funded a trip to the University of California, Irvine, where Marco Forster/AVID students met with faculty and UCI students to get a first-hand glimpse of campus life.

Endevco took its support to the next level with a generous contribution of 20 computers and related equipment to the Marco Forster Middle School AVID students.

"Endevco is committed to remaining one of San Juan Capistrano's largest community contributors", said Rob Meyer President of Endevco.

As SJC's largest employer, whose staff includes parents of students in the San Jaun Capistrano school system, we are exceedingly pleased to be able to assist the AVID programme".
