Sensing solutions leader Endevco has selected Scott Silcock to become President of the company

In his previous position as Vice President of Operations, Silcock has been responsible for several important initiatives at Endevco and brings over 20 years of high tech operations experience to the position.

Silcock joined Endevco in mid 2005 as Vice President of Operations.

He later assumed responsibility for the company's Sunnyvale MEMS facility in April 2006.

While at Endevco, he has played an integral role in a wide range of important initiatives including implementation of Six Sigma and Lean Quality systems; outsourcing of non core support activities; redefinition of plant operations to include focus factories; establishment of an engineering intern program; ongoing facilities updates at the San Juan Capistrano headquarters; expansion of customer based contracts; and expansion of product transfers to China.

He began his career in 1984 as a production operations supervisor at Rockwell Semiconductor Systems and served with the company through its spinoff as Conexant Systems in January 1999.

During that time, he advanced to the position of Executive Director of Supply Chain Management and Fabrication and was selected to become Vice President of Operations for the Conexant Systems spin off, Jazz Semiconductor.

There he supervised a staff of 700 and was responsible for separating the Jazz Semiconductor manufacturing operation from its parent company.

While at Jazz Semiconductor, he achieved significant reductions in costs, inventory and cycle times as well as significant increases in productivity.

Silcock's experience encompasses all facets of operations management with profit and loss responsibility including just-in-time and consigned inventory programmes, Six Sigma and Lean Quality systems, computer integrated manufacturing, contract administration, ISO certification, statistical process control, factory capacity planning and modeling, capital investment analysis and justification, and total quality management.

He has consistently developed and managed programmes that have generated strong results in productivity and return on investment.

"It is very exciting and challenging to have the opportunity to lead a first class industry leader like Endevco".

"My goals are to have a positive impact on the company's competitive position, resource needs and return to shareholders", Silcock stated.

"I believe in sound fiscal planning while challenging employees to achieve stretch strategic goals".

"With a hands on style, I strive to manage the process of success while monitoring expected results".

"Silcock is a seasoned management professional with over two decades of proven experience in the high technology arena", observed Meggitt Electronics President David Savage.

"He possesses outstanding skills in leadership, communication and organization along with being a results oriented, motivated self starter with a consistent record of exceeding standards and expectations".

"We look forward to his continuing contributions to the long term success of Endevco".
