Dual safety system on power factor capacitors
PhiCap AC capacitors from Epcos are primarily designed for power factor correction in industrial environments, but can also be used in uninterruptible power supply and drive engineering applications
Offering high reliability and available at an extremely attractive price, the series has a voltage range of between 130 and 320 VRMS for overvoltage protection in line voltage applications.
The Energeti Q series is split into Q14 and Q20 varistors.
The Q14 range, with dimensions of 14mm x 14mm, offer a surge current rating of 8kA (8/20 ms), while the Q20 model (20mm) offers a surge current rating of 15kA (8/20 ms).
The series, which forms part of the EPCOS range of SIOV metal oxide varistors, provides a wide operating temperature range of between -40 and +85oC and an insulation resistance of *1.0GW.
With tinned copper wire terminals, the varistors are epoxy resin coated, which is flame-retardant to UL 94 V-O.
The series is UL, CSA and CECC approved.
As a proactive supplier in the fast moving world of passive components, EPCOS is constantly releasing new and exciting products.
