Filters tolerate pressure and temperature range

An EPE (UK) product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Jul 4, 2007

Inline filters are suitable for direct installation into pipelines to provide a high level of wear and abrasion protection for all system components.

Filters designed for operation at pressures between 16 and 1000bar are now available from EPE (UK) .

Available in both simplex and duplex configurations, and designed for pressurised lubricants together with liquids and gases, the filters can be used at temperatures from -40C to +400C.

They can be supplied in various connection sizes including threaded ports and flanges in SAE, DIN and ANSI.

EPE (UK) has inline filters which are especially suited for direct installation into pipelines to provide a high level of wear and abrasion protection for all system components.

However, they can also be used to provide offline filtration without breaking into existing pipework.

They supply additional filtration where an existing filter system has proved to be inadequate, very often due to a dirty working environment.

Typical installation can be adjacent to reservoir tanks to provide additional polishing filtration to all the system liquids and lubricants.

A large range of designs are available as standard, but EPE can also cater for applications out of the norm.

All filters can be used with standard elements or an optional range of environmentally-friendly ECOPore filter elements featuring a re-usable core.

These pleated elements can be supplied to EPE or DIN24550 standard and have been designed to provide optimum flow characteristics with minimum pressure drop and maximum dirt holding capacity.

A wide range of filter media can also be provided to cover all application requirements.

Accessories include a maintenance indicator, available with either optical or optical/electrical display indicating contamination status.

A bypass valve can also be supplied which prevents clogging by protecting the filter element at start-up, together with a vent to remove air from the filter at start-up and to aid safe de-pressurisation.
