The 4th EPMA summer school proved to be both an educational and enjoyable experience for all.

The 4th EPMA summer school proved to be both an educational and enjoyable experience for all.

The school was held in the beautiful historic spa town of Baden, near Vienna during the first week in September and was attended by 56 participants (40 of which were funded by the EU Commission) from 15 different countries.

The week was made up of a wide range of PM topics in the form of lectures and workshops given by 26 experts in the field.

There were problem solving sessions held at the Technical University of Vienna and a whole day's visit to the Bergla plant of Wolfram Bergbau.

The week ended with a workshop defining future challenges for powder metallurgy.

The summer school was the fourth in a series of very successful schools organised by the EPMA under the auspices of the EU Commission.
