The beautiful and historic city of Potsdam near Berlin hosted the 2005 EPMA General Assembly on 29th April.

Over 40 representatives of some 34 companies attended the two-day event that included the EPMA annual dinner.

As well as the EPMA Board, Council and a series of Steering Group meetings, the delegates heard papers on both the local German PM industry and applications for PM in the glass industry, the latter given by Dr Joachim Disam of Schott Glasswerke.

Jonathan Wroe, Executive Director of EPMA said: "This year's event was again a good opportunity to combine key discussions on future EPMA activities with networking and social events".

"The new condensed format meant we were able to achieve positive results in a convenient timescale".

The next meetings of the EPMA working groups will be a series of open meetings at the Euro PM2005 Congress and Exhibition to be held in Prague from 2nd to 5th October.

This conference is already promising to attract exhibitors from the largest range of countries of any PM event in 2005 with over 80 booths already sold.
