The European Powder Metallurgy Association (EPMA) held its 11th General Assembly and Management Seminar in Lindau, Germany, in mid-May 2000, attended by some 70 members and guests.
Powder metallurgy training begins in Germany
The European Powder Metallurgy Association is holding a new series of training courses on powder metallurgy for young materials and design engineers.
Also, special focus seminars will take place on PM titanium, nanotechnology and PM modelling.
The congress, as in other years, will be held in conjunction with a state-of-the-art supplier exhibition of over 50 exhibitors, including a showcase of PM parts featuring entries in this year's "Innovation in powder metallurgy" competition.
It will, therefore, provide the main forum for the international PM community to get together in 2005, and to take the opportunity to meet their customers and their suppliers.
In addition to the main congress programme, a special workshop for EPMA members is planned, featuring a series of guest speakers; and focus meetings of EPMA working and sectoral groups are scheduled, open to all congress delegates, providing a platform for discussion of key PM issues and the opportunity to initiate collaborative project.
Prague, the "City of a hundred spires", has been a junction of European trade routes since early times and will provide the ideal meeting place for business and pleasure.
Register now and forge new opportunities in a new Europe.
Further details, including online registration, can be found on the EPMA website.
