Second in series of training courses on powder metallurgy for young materials and design engineers to take place in Grenoble, France, from 24th June to 2nd July 2006.

The European Powder Metallurgy Association has announced the second in its series of training courses on powder metallurgy for young materials and design engineers It will take place in Grenoble, France, from 24th June to 2nd July 2006

The programme will be divided into two main parts: first, a one-week summer school, a mixture of formal presentations, lectures and group workshops; and, secondly, one of two short courses of two days' duration, focusing on two key areas of the industry - modelling and hard metals.

The courses will be presented in English and will provide an opportunity to improve attendees' knowledge of the current status of PM technology.

The participation fee for the whole event, the summer school and the short course, is E195 per person.

This fee includes all relevant course documents, meals, accommodation and a grant towards travel costs, calculated according to EU rules.

In addition, each participant will receive one year's free student membership to the EPMA, enabling them to obtain discounted rates at the Euro PM Conference and Exhibition among other benefits.

The closing date for applications is 31st March 2006.
