The 2006 EPMA General Assembly took place at the Nixe Palace Hotel in Palma de Mallorca and was attended by well over 40 people from some 36 companies.
The 2006 EPMA General Assembly took place at the Nixe Palace Hotel in Palma de Mallorca and was attended by well over 40 people from some 36 companies.
The two-day event included the EPMA Annual Dinner as well as board, council and committee meetings.
The delegates heard two keynote papers, the first on the local Spanish PM industry by Dr Alberto Escribano, Chairman of the European Structural Parts Group and Managing Director of Fersint/Metasint.
The second was a particularly interesting paper by Javier Pujol, Chairman of Ficosa International, a major Tier 1 supplier to the automotive industry based in Spain.
Jonathan Wroe, Executive Director of EPMA, said: "This year's event was an excellent chance to combine key discussions on future EPMA activities with networking and social events".
The next meetings of EPMA working groups will be a series of open meetings at the Euro PM2006 Congress and Exhibition to be held in Ghent, Belgium from 23rd to 25th October.
This conference, which will focus on hard materials, diamond tools and MIM, will feature special workshops on "Ultrafine and nano hard materials" and "PM titanium".
The Euro PM2006 exhibition is now sold out, and details of the technical programme will be available in June.
