The Global Powder Metallurgy Property Database continues to expand its scope and content.

The Global Powder Metallurgy Property Database (GPMPD) jointly operated by the European Powder Metallurgy Association (EPMA), Metal Powder Industry Federation (MPIF) and the Japanese Powder Metallurgy Association (JPMA) continues to expand its scope and content.

In recent months, over 400 new data lines on ferrous structural and bearing materials have been added to the current database content.

For the first time on the GPMPD, users will be able to search ferrous and nonferrous data lines.

The new additions to the database have increased the total number of searchable lines of data to over 2500.

A nonferrous area containing specific data on structural material is planned to be added to the existing database, which will enable users to compare data between the two main powder categories.

The new data lines are planned to go online towards the end of 2006.

Since the GPMPD launch in 2004 there are over 3500 registered users, spanning 71 countries.

The GPMPD database is a free to access service on the Internet and is available 24/7, which allows registered users from all over the globe to obtain the information, as and when they need it.
