European association elects new officers
The European Power Transmission Distributors Association elected its officers, board of directors, Distributor Council and Manufacturer Council for 2004 at its recent annual convention in Dublin.
The European Power Transmission Distributors Association (EPTDA) elected its officers, board of directors, Distributor Council and Manufacturer Council for 2004 at its recent annual convention in Dublin, Ireland Antonio Cammany, Chief Executive Officer of Epidor, Spain, has been elected to succeed Peter Buydens, then Commercial Director of Baudoin, Belgium, now Business Development Manager of Tsubakimoto, The Netherlands, as EPTDA's President in the coming year

Steve Ruddell is the new general manager of ABB's drives, motors and machines division in the UK.
Chris Morrell, European Sales Director of Textron Power Transmission, UK, assumes the duties of EPTDA's Manufacturer Council Chair for 2004, replacing Tribby Warfield, Sales and Marketing Director of Gates Hydraulics, UK.
Malcolm Ormiston, International Sales Director of Diamond Chain, UK, becomes Manufacturer Council Vice Chair for 2004.
The remaining delegates serving on EPTDA's Board of Directors in 2004 include Orestis Antonopoulos, Director of Antonopoulos Bros, Greece; Till Blassinger, Vice President of Josef Bl?ssinger, Germany; Jan Klee, Managing Director of BRD Klee, Denmark; Marcel Mak, Managing Director of Spruit Transmissies, The Netherlands; Mario Molteni, Managing Director of MCI Marzorati Componenti Industriali, Italy; and Jukka Nordling, Managing Director of SKS, Finland.
Additional EPTDA Manufacturer Council members for 2004 include: Nick Garthwaite, joint Managing Director of Flender, UK; Bengt Grufman, Business Area Director of SKF, Belgium; Robert Ruland, President of Ruland Manufacturing, USA; Gino Bruschi, Vice President Sales Marketing and Logistics of Megadyne Rubber, Spain; Karl Weindinger, Export Manager of ContiTech, Germany; and Ralf Kronawitter, Marketing and Sales Director of Iwis Ketten, Germany.
Founded in 1998 and headquartered in Brussels, the EPTDA is the largest organisation of distributors and manufacturers of power transmission and motion control products in Europe.
The EPTDA is currently representing companies from 16 countries, including 106 power transmission/motion control (PT/MC) distributor firms, 63 manufacturers that supply PT/MC products, as well as five associate members that provide services directly related to the PT/MC industry.
The EPTDA is a member-driven organisation dedicated to advancing distribution and strengthening members to be successful, profitable and competitive in a changing market environment.
The EPTDA offers a unique platform for productive communication and networking between distributors and manufacturers on a European and international level.
