Ralf Kronawitter has been appointed Chair of the Manufacturer Council of the European Power Transmission Distributors Association (EPTDA).

Kronawitter is Director of Marketing and Sales, Drive Systems, with the German chain manufacturer Iwis, and general manager of Iwis Chain in Bewdley, UK.

Iwis has been a member of the EPTDA since 2000.

In his new position, Kronawitter is also a member of the association's board of directors.

Founded in 1998 and headquartered in Brussels, the EPTDA is the largest organisation of distributors and manufacturers of power transmission and motion control products on a European level.

The EPTDA currently represents almost 200 companies from 17 countries including the USA and Canada.

UK companies make up the second largest group among EPTDA members.

With the annual convention 2005 taking place in Prague, Czech Republic, from 28th to 30th September 2005, the association is hoping to attract also members from Eastern Europe.

The convention, with the theme "Welcoming new European challenges", offers members and guest companies an opportunity to expand their business networks during meetings and social activities.
