Available now from the Elite Test Equipment online store, the Leica Disto range of laser distance meters are manufactured by Leica Geosystems, a market leader in the field of measurement and positioning equipment These instruments make use of a small red visible laser dot which you can aim towards most surfaces and easily measure the distance to that point from 5cm up to 200m and can measure with an accuracy of up to 1.5mm
These products should not be confused (which they often are) with ultrasonic distance estimators which are highly inaccurate and unreliable making them unsuitable for professional use.
