Promoting better jobs for disabled workers
The European Agency for Safety and Health at Work is publishing a practical guide to securing the workplace health and safety of people with disabilities while avoiding accusations of discrimination.
The sites all share a common structure making it easy to navigate between information on legislation and regulations, good safety and health practice, research, statistics, training and other fields.
Also launched today is a joint EU/WHO site on occupational health.
The site provides links to Internet resources and networks being developed by the WHO and their collaborating centres worldwide.
These include: an inventory of training materials on the web; resources for end users, including practical solutions and training materials; and support for a Southern Africa OSH clearing house.
Other partners in the agency's global network include the International Labour Organisation, as well as specialist safety and health institutions from across Europe, Australia, Canada and the USA.
